The team at Civic Operations Group has conducted programs throughout the continental United States for the last 20 years. During the COVID-19 pandemic, COG rapidly pivoted and adapted its model and experience to respond to the sudden and immense need for information, resources, and assistance in communities across the nation. COG quickly deployed remote and in-person teams to help connect residents to critical life-saving resources. See highlights of outreach conducted in response to this global crisis. 

Case Study:

New Jersey Property Tax Relief

In partnership with the State of New Jersey and the Department of Treasury and Taxation, Kivvit and the Civic Operations Group teamed up to deliver the promise of historic tax relief to residents across the state. The program was a statewide media effort paired with an equal investment in targeted, in-person outreach spanning eight counties and 72 municipalities.

Our team activated over 300 community stakeholders, including elected officials, faith leaders, hospitals and senior centers, tribal organizations, and local non-profits, to inform them of the program and schedule events with their constituents. COG quickly scaled up to deploy over 300 trained canvassers per day, who knocked on doors, staffed local events, and provided tailored assistance to residents completing applications. This stakeholder outreach, in combination with our direct outreach, helped amplify the impact of the media-based messaging.

Wisconsin Community Climate Engagement 2023

In partnership with the Wisconsin Conservation Voters (WCV), Forward Together Wisconsin (FTW), and the City of Madison, WI, the Civic Operations Group (COG) is working to provide clean energy incentives to residents across seven different municipalities in Madison and Milwaukee suburbs with plans to expand.

DC Led the nation in rental assistance disbursement

The COG team contacted 26K people in targeted neighborhoods with highest-ranking needs to ameliorate the rent burden faced by low-income households due to the economic impact of the public health emergency.

New Jersey Department of Health COVID-19 Community Corps (MAY 2021- DECEMBER 2021)

Our team provided relevant vaccination information, helped combat misinformation, scheduled vaccine appointments, followed-up on second doses, and connected residents to critical resources.

Prince George's County Vaccination (APRIL 2021- JULY 2021)

Our team in close cooperation with Prince George’s County, executed a large-scale community outreach effort with an emphasis on organizing in ten high-priority zip codes with the most significant barriers to vaccinations.

Increasing Solar Power Consumer Adoption: Georgia Bright Case Study

Leveraging COG’s capacity, Capital Good Fund and SunPath Solar’s expertise, and Georgia Conservation Voters policy expertise, we teamed up to help residents in DeKalb County access low-cost solar power installation that will help save them money and lower greenhouse gas emissions.

Increasing Clean Energy Residential Adoption: WI LCV 2024

the Civic Operations Group joined forces with the Wisconsin Conservation Voters and Forward Together Wisconsin to provide direct, in-person outreach to Wisconsin residents to help educate them on the Inflation Reduction Act.

Through this multi-phase program, our outreach associates engaged with folks at their doors and provided a comprehensive overview of the various weatherization and residential energysaving programs they could take advantage of through the Inflation Reduction Act and other local incentives.
